It is with great sadness that the practice announces the death yesterday, of John Miller Harris, known as Bomber to his friends.
John passed peacefully at Southlands care home Harrogate aged 83.
He leaves behind his wife Anne, daughters Julie, Lyn, and respective families, who have cared for him over the latter years, as John suffered from dementia.
John founded the practice back in May 1984 and was a great leader known throughout the profession for his straight talking, Yorkshire grit and a passion for all things motor related. Not forgetting the G&t’s and extra strong mints.
He was the driving force behind the practice throughout its early years and a generous mentor to many within the current Harris management team.
The practice, its staff, and the families that they support, owe him a great debt for the successful company he created on solid foundations.
Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
