The Harris Partnership has been appointed by major property investment and development company British Land to design a logistics hub at a former NCP car park in the City of London.
The car park site at Finsbury Square is set to be transformed into a ‘last-mile’ logistics complex for parcels from further afield to be dropped off, stored and then picked up for delivery around the city.
The scheme, which is at the pre-planning stage, is interesting from a design perspective as it gives the potential opportunity to utilise underground space . It is expected that, subject to planning, work will start on site on the scheme in 2024.
