2024 marks THP’s 40th year of delivering projects across the UK, but before the celebrations commence, let’s take a moment to reflect on the past year’s achievements.
In 2023, our team was busy across all our offices, completing numerous projects, notably the Premier Inn, in the picturesque Lake District town of Keswick, the new HQ office building in Hull for Beal Homes and the impressive transformation of the former Northallerton Women’s Prison into The Treadmills, mixed-use development. Collaborating closely with Wykeland and Hambleton District Council, we breathed new life into this historic site, creating modern office spaces, an Everyman Cinema, and convenient shopping facilities. The success of The Treadmills stands as a testament to the power of creativity and ingenuity in regeneration projects, positively impacting both historic buildings and local communities.
Moreover, we secured several planning approvals, notably for large logistics schemes in London, in partnership with British Land. One notable development in Paddington Central is set to significantly reduce carbon emissions, illustrating our commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation. Additionally, our team expanded with the acquisition of Smeeden Foreman, enhancing our capabilities in landscape architecture, ecology, and biodiversity.
2023 was also the year we launched our new drone photography service, adding another dimension to our offerings and enabling us to capture projects from unique perspectives for ourselves and clients alike.
As we start our milestone year, we extend gratitude to our colleagues, clients and consultants both past and present and look forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in 2024 and beyond.
