On behalf of Transport for Greater Manchester and Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, The Harris Partnership have recently developed designs in support of a full planning application for the installation of a segregated shared-use pedestrian and cycle ramp connecting the ‘Podium Park’ above the Stockport Interchange development and the public realm at ground level adjacent to the River Mersey.
The proposed development covers 0.26ha of land adjacent to the River Mersey and will form an important link for pedestrians and cyclists in particular, including those traversing the Pennine Way, to the Podium Park on the upper level of the new interchange.
