THP are excited to announce planning permission has been granted for an extension of Haribo’s production facility in Castleford.
The plans which were originally approved in 2012 have received minor alterations following a £22m investment by the confectionary giant into its Castleford site in 2021. The new plans have now been given the greenlight from Wakefield Council, in a decision which Haribo said safeguarded the future of the existing 600 employees at the site, as well creating 80 jobs across its network of retail stores.
The proposed warehouse adjacent to Haribo’s production facility in Castleford will be linked to the existing building by a new overhead enclosed conveyor.
