A full planning application has been submitted to Sheffield City Council for the redevelopment of the vacant 23 Acre former William Cook site in Mosborough for our client De Veer Prescient (No1) Ltd.
Planning permission is sought for 312,000sqft of employment space to include five larger industrial units, ranging in size from 32,270 sqft to 86,143 sqft, suitable for a range of employment uses including industrial processes, general industrial, and storage and distribution, together with ancillary offices, together with a smaller 10,000 sqft unit for light industrial use only.
The schemes supporting information highlights a number of potential benefits of the proposed development, including “strengthening the area as a strategic and key employment destination”, creation of a ” significant number of new jobs” and the “contribution towards the local economy through local spending by new employees”
It has been estimated that, once built, the scheme would support between 434 and 871 employees. Target planning decision date is late August 2023.
