Our team is delighted to see our most recent project for Rex Developments, St Hilary Retail Park in Basildon, complete. Our designs transformed the former brownfield site into a 120,000 sq ft development featuring a mix of single and multi-level retail units.
The project also included the delivery of 55,000 sq ft distribution unit with offices on an adjacent site.
It’s fantastic to see the retail park already securing lettings to Lidl, Greggs, Lok N Store and Magnet amongst others, and to know that the distribution unit has a pre-let agreement.
John Hepton at The Harris Partnership, added: “This is the latest project we’ve completed for Rex Developments and it’s fantastic to see the demand from occupiers for the high-quality space which together we’ve been able to deliver.
“We were pleased to hear the local council’s support for the development with Cllr Craig Rimmer, the cabinet member for economic stimulus at Basildon Council, describing it as ‘an attractive location’ when discussing the decision by Magnet to occupy the site.”
Cllr Craig Rimmer said: “The retail park as a whole is fantastic as it increases the land development value which also means interest for other commercial ventures into Basildon as they know it works.”
