The practice is carrying out major refurbishment work on two Yorkshire schemes for client, British Land.

On the East side of Yorkshire, Kingswood Retail Park in Hull sees the practice downsizing the existing Comet to accommodate a new M&S Food store of 10,000 sq ft and a 5,000 sq. ft mezzanine.West Side Retail Park, Guiseley will enjoy a redevelopment of the former Focus DIY unit to incorporate new tenants, ASDA Living (20,000 sq. ft plus mezzanine) and TK Maxx (15,000 sq. ft plus mezzanine). Works also include a re-elevation to the primary shop frontages and to adjacent units which house Argos and Carpetright. Future phases incorporating re-elevation work are also on the agenda.

The works form part of a second phase of development at the retail park, with phase one including a new food retail element, which boasts a Greggs, Subway and Costa Coffee.

Oliver Clark, Architect comments: “Adding value to these parks by improving their offering is the aim. The new look schemes with their enhanced design and pleasing aesthetics will be great examples of a modern leisure and retail experience.”
