Almost five months after the opening of Viaduct Park, the scheme is looking stunning in the summer sun.
The development serves as a pivotal component of Stockport’s ambitious £1 billion town centre rejuvenation project. It serves as a modern gateway to both the town centre and the broader Greater Manchester and North West regions, facilitating seamless connectivity for commuters utilising the West Coast Mainline and local transport services, while also becoming a premier destination in its own right.
Viaduct Park, situated on top of the interchange, features new pedestrian and cycle pathways, ensuring improved accessibility from the railway station, across the new Viaduct Park, to the Wellington Road bridge. Enhancing connectivity further, a spiral cycle link integrates the park with the Mersey Frontage, the Trans Pennine Trail, and the wider town centre beyond.
