A revitalised Sundorne Retail Park has secured a raft of new tenancies including leading retail brands since completion of phase 1 of an extensive refurbishment programme in spring.
Project managed by The Harris Partnership and JLL for M&G Real Estate, the £2.5m refurbishment of the existing retail park estate located three miles north of Shrewsbury town centre has already seen country stores group, countrywide, sign up whilst the UK’s largest outdoor goods retailer Go Outdoors opened a £1m 32,000 square foot premises in March.
All refurbishment works are being carried out whilst the park remains fully open and accessible to public and tenants, which, whilst adding a layer of complication to works scheduling is being achieved through a cooperative approach to project management between contactors and park operators.
Phase 2 works are now nearing completion on the remaining retail terrace which includes interior and exterior refurbishments and space rearrangements, with the flexible design concept allowing for units of varying sizes to reflect the current market requirements.
