The Practice is in the process of preparing a detailed planning application for two major sites within Stafford.
One site will house a new foodstore of 72,000 ft² and the other Town Centre site will have a major anchor tenant taking 65,000 ft² of the 170,000 ft² development and associated 1100 space multi storey car park.
Managing Director Michael Schorah stated “Two major development sites in one Town with the same developer are rare, as too is a public exhibition to promote both. We are working closely with the full design team and the local Council to achieve a detailed planning submission before the end of the year. The Riverside Town Centre site is a real challenge having a river cutting through it and involving a new pedestrian bridge and river frontage shopping. Lee Brewer and Sarah Rhodes are doing a great job pushing the scheme forward to the tight deadlines that have been set.”
Michael added “The scheme is a hybrid, mixing large format retail spaces normally associated with out of town retail parks into the Town Centre environment. The customers are been kept happy by an 1100 space multi storey car park readily accessible to the retail units and linking the Retail Plaza to the Town Centre.”
