We are delighted to announce that the Meadowhall Oasis Dining Quarter has just received a Gold Award by the BCSC (British Council of Shopping Centres).
The £7 million major refurbishment project involved a complete overhaul of the existing eating area at the shopping centre in order to increase the number of restaurants, and increase foot-flow during the evenings. It was officially opened in October this year.
The Harris Partnership carried out the entire design and fulfilment of the project for joint owners British Land Company and London and Stamford Property, with Vector Design Concepts leading the interior design, branding and signage elements.
Peter Bellhouse, Head of Design and Development at British Land Company Plc said: “this is a great testament to the vision and hard work by all the team, so thank you to all involved.”
Mike Schorah, Managing Director at The Harris Partnership added: “It’s fantastic news to be recognised for our expertise in this way and the team here are delighted. The brief was to create a relaxed and ambient dining experience and we achieved just that through the clever use of muted colours and natural materials, as well as the effective creation of more space through the inclusion of a mezzanine level. The new Quarter has taken the Meadowhall dining experience to another level, and we are really pleased to have played an intrinsic role in this.”
