Opportunity for a Graduate Architectural Technologist – Edinburgh

The Harris Partnership have an excellent opportunity for a motivated Graduate Architectural Technologist to begin their career in a supportive and vibrant environment in their office in Edinburgh.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to develop strong technical design, detailing and project delivery skills while working alongside experienced technologists and a team of technical consultants.

The role will provide the successful applicant with practical experience from early design development through to tender production, building warrant applications and construction stages.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of technical drawings, schedules, specifications and construction details across a range of projects.
  • Support project teams across design, building warrant, tender and construction information stages.
  • Develop clear, accurate technical information.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
  • Contribute to design solutions that respond to the building standards, accessibility, sustainability and buildability requirements.
  • Attend internal project reviews and, where appropriate, support site visits and project meetings.


About You

  • Recently completed a degree in Architectural Technology.
  • Good understanding of construction technology, materials, and detailing.
  • Confident using AutoCAD and/or Revit (further training will be given if necessary).
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in how buildings are designed, detailed and constructed.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a project team.
  • Positive, proactive and keen to learn, with an interest in progressing towards CIAT membership or chartership.
