Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy

Introduction
The Harris Group (incorporating The Harris Partnership Ltd, Harris Project Management Ltd and Vector Design Concepts) is committed to eliminating acts of modern-day slavery and human trafficking within our business and from within our supply chains.

Our annual turnover is under £36 million and although we are not legally obliged to report on slavery and human trafficking, this statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Organisational Structure
The Harris Group is a national architectural practice in the UK. Our multi‐disciplinary teams produce integrated, holistic and sustainable design solutions across a wide range of sectors.

We work from several locations in the UK with offices in Wakefield, Manchester, Reading, Milton Keynes, London, Harrogate and Edinburgh.

Sharing a philosophy which places an emphasis on design integrity, customer service and community support and engagement, the combined company provides a unique combination of technical skills.

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business of supply chains. This policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere within our supply chains.

Supply Chain
Our supply chain consists of UK office supplies and equipment and occasional sub-consultants.

It is our policy not to use sub-consultants where possible but where required, they along with services providers and suppliers are to align with our commitment to equality, diversity and human rights, including our commitment to ensuring that slavery and human trafficking does not take place within our business or supply chain under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

In the event that a sub-consultant, agency or other member of our supply chain was suspected of engaging in or supporting slavery or human trafficking an investigation would be undertaken and, if necessary, our relationship with that supplier would terminate.

Action in this area would be driven by our Managing Director, who is fully supported by The Harris Group Board of Directors.

Due Diligence
We consider ourselves to be a ‘low risk’ business with regard to slavery and human trafficking. However, we foster a culture that encourages the identification and reporting of any such risks within our business. We recruit all our employees either directly or through recruitment agencies who are members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. We do not recruit from outside the UK or use agency workers.
