We have provided designs for a recently completed 1,800 sq. ft unit at Banbury Cross Retail Park, Banbury which was constructed between two retail terrace blocks and we are also working on a 1,600 sq. ft outlet in Truro, which commences construction shortly, as well as one at Selly Oak, Birmingham, comprising 1,500 sq. ft which is currently at the planning approval stage, and subject to approval, is due to begin construction early next year.
The new commission follows the successful completion of Costa Coffee units on retail parks in Northampton and in Kings Lynn last year for which The Harris Partnership provided the designs.
Paul Mitchell comments: “Boosting the appeal of retail parks is a key consideration for landlords, and introducing a popular quality brand like Costa Coffee is an effective means of doing this. We have proved in the past how we can provide a timeless design that distinctively reflects the brand but which, most importantly, responds to the local vernacular of each site, creating buildings which respond to their surrounding environment and which can accommodate any restrictions that may form part of the construction project.
“We are delighted to have been appointed on further projects for Costa Coffee, aiding its expansion plans in areas where it is currently under-represented. Repeat business is always a very good indicator that we are meeting clients’ needs effectively, and that is very reassuring.”
