Frankie and Benny’s for Crewe Retail Park / June, 2012

The growth of Frankie and Benny’s American restaurant chain is leading to multiple commissions for the company.

UBS Global Asset Management (UK) Ltd instructed the Practice to design a 4, 500 sq. ft restaurant pod for Frankie and Benny’s at Grand Junction Retail Park, Crewe, which is now open and trading.

The new restaurant has helped improve footfall to the retail park by giving visitors more choice as dining out is becoming an integral part of the contemporary retail experience.

The striking and distinctive design of the building draws reference from its surroundings whilst offering a timeless feel. The design was tailored to specifically suit Frankie & Benny’s requirements to incorporate a blade roof with brickwork walls and a white rendered entrance feature, all with dark grey window frames, fascias and soffits.

This is the fourth recent Frankie and Benny’s project on which the The Harris Partnership has been instructed and taken through to completion.

Darren Till, at the Wakefield office comments: “ We designed the restaurant with some influence from the local vernacular whilst reflecting the brand’s strong identity. It was also an opportunity to raise the bar for quality across the remainder of the retail park.”
