The Harris Partnership are carrying out major refurbishment works at Battery Retail Park, Selly Oak for client Hammerson.
Phase I started on site at the beginning of the new year and includes the refurbishment of a 30,000 sq.ft B&Q to accommodate the relocation of Homebase with a new 9,000 sq.ft mezzanine.
Daniel Wilkinson says “Works include completely re-cladding the existing building to create a sleek modern stand-alone unit with new glazed entrance lobby and double height glazing to an extended garden centre. A new pedestrian link will also be introduced to provide better connectivity between the two phases of the site.”
Work on Phase II of the retail park is due to start towards the end of the year and includes a new extension together with the introduction of large areas of glazing to continue the modernisation for tenants including Next / PC World and Currys.
