Detailed planning has been submitted for over 120,000 ft² of retail space and two levels of parking totalling 500 spaces, within the heart of the Halifax conservation area.
Managing Director, Michael Schorah commented “Following two years of work with Royal London Asset Management and a public exhibition in June, we are delighted to have submitted this major application for the demolition and re-development of the Pennine Shopping Centre site.”
“Oliver Clark, Carl Braim and I have worked closely with the Chief Planner and Head of Conservation to deliver this exciting new scheme, located within a stones throw of the historic Piece Hall. The design has been carefully planned to fully integrate with the existing Town Centre and improve pedestrian flow around the town. The design is striking, utilising quality materials throughout and will be a welcome addition to the Town Centre. The aim is to achieve planning consent by Christmas and will continue the Practice’s close association with the redevelopment of key sites within the Yorkshire conurbations.”
