Origin Point is the new addition to Paragon Business Village, a 130 acre mixed use site on the outskirts of Wakefield City Centre. The site is in a prime location with strong links to the M1 and M62 motorway networks, and benefits from the amenities provided by Wakefield City Centre.
The location of the 1.9 acre site provided the opportunity to create a landmark building that has become synonymous with the Paragon Business Village, designed to include 10,000sqft of bespoke accommodation for Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors, and 18,000sqft of speculative office space.
High spec materials are used to create a bold, yet simple architectural form. Full height glazed curtain walling with a transom blade detail creates a strong horizontal emphasis and enhances the acute angle of the building, forming a striking landmark into the site. The large areas of glazing are offset against a south facing elevation clad in brickwork with recessed punch windows, utilising the orientation of the building to enhance passive heating and cooling techniques.
