A new M&S megastore opened today at the White Rose shopping centre.
The relocated store takes the place of the former Debenhams retail unit, with enhancements to the building’s façade designed by The Harris Partnership.
At three times the size of the former M&S store at the shopping centre, the new unit includes its own flower shop, food hall, a new digital café concept and what M&S described as a ‘bigger and better’ bakery.
Dan Broadhead at The Harris Partnership said: “We were thrilled to continue our long-term relationship with the White Rose shopping centre and deliver the latest phase of major construction works there for our client Landsec. As a business M&S is synonymous with Leeds, having been founded in the city’s Kirkgate market in 1884, so to launch a new store in the city which brings the latest concepts in the firm’s customer centric delivery is very exciting, particularly one at this scale.”
