Plans for a new manufacturing facility in a further extension of the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) have been given the green light.
Harworth Group, supported by Barton Willmore and The Harris Partnership, submitted a reserved matters application to Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council earlier this year for a site adjacent to the existing AMP development at Waverley.
The proposal is a 100,000 sq ft unit for SBD Apparel. The facility is set to comprise production space, offices, a demonstration area, warehousing and an employee canteen. A total of 65 parking spaces would be provided.
The expansion is set to enable SBD to triple staff numbers to about 300.
