New Aldi Stores Secure Consent / July, 2016

Two new Aldi stores designed by our Manchester office have secured planning consents with HOW Planning acting as planning consultant. The Green light has been given for a new store on a brownfield site close to Junction 2 of the M56 at Sharston in Greater Manchester with Aldi looking to start on site by the turn of the year.

West Lancashire Borough Council has also resolved to grant planning permission for a third new Aldi store at Ringtail Retail Park in Burscough for which THP will be involved at the fit-out stage. Each store is expected to create approximately 40 full- and part-time jobs.

In addition, in October 2016, Aldi are seeking to start on site at the 4million sq ft Logistics North distribution and manufacturing centre being developed by Harworth Estates at the former Cutacre open cast mine site off the M61 near Bolton.
