Every so often the Practice gets involved in an extraordinary project that calls for some outside the box thinking and such an opportunity has come up recently.
The special project will form part of extensive renovation plans at the 200-year old Bowcliffe Hall in North Yorkshire, the former home of aviation pioneer, Robert Blackburn. The first phase of the development – 31 luxury office suites – has just been completed and the tree house concept is currently in the planning stage. The Practice has also been instructed to provide designs for a new restaurant facility.
Oliver Clark comments: “The tree house will form part of ambitious landscaping designs and will provide a highly unique facility for businesses residing at the hall and those from further afield who will be able to hire it. We want the facility to complement the tremendous inspirational renovation work carried out so far by highly skilled craftsmen, while retaining a high level of functionality.”
