There has been a run of industry awards for The Harris Partnership this year with both RIBA and RICS recognising the much lauded Blackburn Wing, whilst client Jonathan Turner, CEO of the Bayford Group was also recognised with a RIBA ’Yorkshire Client of the Year’ Award. It was also gratifying that THP has been recognised as ‘Architect of the Year’ by the Yorkshire Property Industry for which the judges observed:
‘Harris’ “extraordinary” Blackburn Wing at Bowcliffe Hall, near Wetherby, and the Butterfly Building proposed for the Really Useful Box Company near Castleford, dominated the judge’s attention. The firm’s Wakefield practice was also praised for adaptability, being able to perform the progressive or prosaic to a budget, as exemplified by its factory for Haribo at Castleford.’
