East Yorkshire has long been an important area for THP and in 2015 we’re busier than ever, with schemes ranging from major new mixed-use developments in Beverley to retail refurbishments in Hull. Hull is a particular hive of activity for us with a ‘back-to-the-future’ brief from client Quora Development for a former Tradex Unit on Anlaby Road, previously a B&Q designed by THP back in 1985. Thirty years on, we’re giving it a fresh new makeover with a proposed 22,000sqft Aldi store, 24,000sqft Home Bargains with garden centre and new Mc Donald’s unit to the frontage, with planning approved and works started on site early July.
Elsewhere in the ‘City of Culture’ in-waiting, we are extending another Aldi, putting in Wren Kitchens at Clive Sullivan Way Retail Park for Orchard Group and are adding a cafe to St Stephen’s Shopping Centre for British Land as Hull gears up to welcome the world in 2017.
